Urban on her work: My practice as a visual artist includes the use of performance, drawing, costume- making, sculpture, and installation. My recent projects have been performance-based works inspired by the local landscape, my encounters and collaborations with community members, Newfoundland folklore communicated through storytelling and historic references to the area. The drawings and performances are sourced from personal experience of the rural community of McIvers Newfoundland.
