Exhibition Installation at Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, Hart House, University of Toronto
On April 2, 2009, the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery will present a major exhibition exploring the intersections in the histories of Africa and South Asia. Exhibition works include photography, video projection, a large hand written wall text, and costumes.
Volunteer Slots available on:
Monday March 23, between 6:30pm - 9pm (painting is a major task this day)
Tuesday March 24, between 10 am - 6pm (painting is a major task this day)
Wednesday March 25, between 10am - 6pm (painting is a major task and other tasks - such as wall tracing - are added)
Thursday March 26, between 10 am - 6pm
Friday March 27, between 10 am - 6pm
Saturday March 28, between 10am - when possible (a curator will be around till 8/9pm)
Sunday March 28, between 10am - when possible (a curator will be around till 8/9pm)
Monday March 30, between 10 am - 6pm
Tuesday March 31, between 10 am - 6pm
Wednesday April 1, between 10 am - 6pm
Volunteers are needed for:
1) Gallery Wall Painting (from March 23 - 26 experienced wall painters are highly encouraged to enroll to help paint the entire Gallery white.)
2) Tracing a large wall based text piece (detail oriented volunteers are asked to trace and 'drawn-in' a large wall text that is composed of 46 paragraphs. Many volunteers are required for this. Hope you will sign up!!!)
3) Various tasks from painting to assisting with hanging photographs.
